Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Emotion Regulation Group

Emotions are a part of life – we feel them every moment of every day. Unfortunately, sometimes they are unpleasant or overwhelming. When our emotions feel beyond our control, it can lead to outbursts of anger, panic attacks, and difficulty maintaining jobs or relationships.

In this 8-week group, we will help you understand your emotions better and give you skills to cope with big, challenging emotions when they come up. In this group, you will learn:

  • What emotions are and why we have them
  • Self-care skills to prevent emotions from becoming too much
  • How to slow down and think before acting on your emotions

Beyond just learning skills, there’s so much more that you can get out of a group experience. By joining this group, you will also get:

  • A binder of materials that is yours to keep after the group is completed
  • Support from other group participants
  • A small, intimate setting with two group leaders (we limit our groups to no more than 8 participants so you can receive individualized attention)
